They can, however bettas have different dietary needs than tropical fish. I would suggest buying a small pack of hikari betta bio-gold. They are easy to feed, bettas like them, and one small pack lasts quite a while. I think they’re about $2-4 and last a long while if you only have 1 betta.
it’s fine… I have female bettas in my community tank and they eat it just fine
yea, you can find bettas in the sea of japan which is foreign or exotic so that food will do well. Im a vet.
The flakes won’t hurt them, but bettas need a variety in their diet to stay healthy and happy. Try picking up some dried bloodworms along with a good staple betta diet(Hikari Bio-Gold, etc) and you’ll be set!
yes they can eat those and they are indeed tropical fish. the betta might not take to the hikari betta bio-gold if they are not used to them. I have had bettas where they hated the hikari betta bio gold but loved flakes.
Yes they can, as long as he will eat it it is fine. Personally, I think it its better to buy betta food (Hikari Tropical Betta Bio-Gold) because it is easier to deal with and good for them and they seem to like it. So if you think that’s something you want to do, just grab some at your local pet store. Regardless, he’ll be fine as long as he is eating. Also a betta is an ‘exotic’ fish (unless you live in a place where they are found commonly in the wild). They are indeed tropical fish though.
Take a look at the ingredients. Betta are carnivores so if it’s mostly plant material then it won’t be adequate nutrition. If the ingredients are good and your betta will eat it then you’ll be fine. When you get a chance pick up some treats like shrimp or bloodworms.
not a prob at all….. try brine shrimp
