Will two angel fish team up on a pink kissing gourami?

I have a big angelfish that rarely, but fights a pink kissing gourami I have. If I get another angel fish, will they team up and all attack it? I also have a blood parrot cichlid (tropical) and it attacks it more than the angelfish. Can I still get one? Do pink kissing gouramis like being with each other?

Can i order angelfish from?

I live a long long distance from any pet store or supply tropical fish , I am unable to drive and wish to order several small high quality angelfish. What are the chances of a safe live deliverer and where can I order them from?

Can bettas be put in a tank with other fish?

I have 2 angelfish, one loach, one Baja little shark, one loach, and one gourimi fish. Can I buy a betta and put it in the same tank? The other fish are all tropical, and the temperature is 80 degrees. The tank is filtered and it is indoor. I clean it every 2 weeks, since it is filtered. Will these fish be too agressive for a betta?help!!!

Freshwater Angelfish Questions?

So I’m relatively new to Angelfish (I’ve never owned one before), so I have a few questions concerning behavior, pairing, tank mates, minimum tank requirements, etc.

1. Can an Angelfish pair be kept in a community tank with other fish?

I know Angelfish can be kept in either groups of at least 5 or more, or in breeding pairs.  So can a pair thrive in a community tank with platies and swordtails?

2. If I raise a young Angelfish alongside my adult guppies, will the Angelfish still attack or eat them when he becomes an adult?

I have 10 adult guppies who are very happy and lively together. So if I add one, maybe two young Angelfish into the mix, will the guppies get eaten?

3. At my local PetSmart, there are half-dollar size Angelfish that are following each other around and sticking close to each other. Are these two Angelfish a compatible breeding pair? And at what size do Angelfish begin pairing?

4. An the know the basic rule of thumb with tropical fish “One inch of fish per gallon”. So considering this, if an Angelfish is 6″, does that mean a minimum tank size of 6 gallons per fish? I’m thinking at least 10 gallons per fish, so at least 20 gallons for a breeding pair, right?

I have a 55-gallon, and I just want to make sure that’s enough for the Angelfish pair and other community fish.

Thanks, answers to any one or all of these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Are some coldwater species adaptable to tropical water?

Does it just depend on the fish? I’ve seen a goldfish in a tropical freshwater tank with angelfish, platys, ect. perfectly happy. It was tiny and all the fish were nice to it and it was nice to them. So does it just depend on how adaptable the fish is? Have you ever kept coldwater fish in a warmwater tank?

P.S. There was a heater on the tank and it was about 75 or something degrees. No diseases were spread and no one died (I think).

My Angelfish laid eggs! Is there any chance they’ll get to hatch?

The 2 Angels that are the parents are the major predators in the tank, but they are being super protective. I figuired that any eggs would be eaten immediately as we don’t have a breeding net but they’ve lasted several hours now. Anyone experienced with tropical fish out there?

Good community tropical fish? 400l tank?

I have a large 400l planted tank and am looking at the following community

2 x angelfish
10 x adult guppies
15 x neon tetras
2 or 3 clown loaches
2 x otos catfish
1 x siamese fighting fish

would this combination work in theory? thanks
Thanks for the answers. I would be getting a breeding pair of angelfish, so I *hope* they will be fine. Other than that, I have a seperate breeding tank for the guppies :=D and was thinking I might just have a seperate tank for the betta. Up til now I’ve just been doing lots of research and planting / cycling the tank with some white clouds. And yeah the tank is pretty big :-)
Any other suggestions / additions would be very welcome
